Gizela Mickiewicz (b. 1984) is a visual artist based in Warsaw, Poland. She creates sculptures, drawings, installations.
She graduated from the Faculty of Art Education at the University of the Arts in Poznań (2007-2012) where she also studied painting (2006-2007). Solo shows include: Arsenal, Bialystok (2016), Stereo, Warsaw (2015, 2011), BWA, Katowice (2015), Frieze Art Fair, London (2014), Frutta, Rome (2013), BWA, Zielona Gora (2013). Group exhibitions include the XII Baltic Triennal, CAC Kim?, Riga; CAC, Vilnius; project at fifteen, Tel Aviv; Bureau Gallery, New York; Frutta Gallery, Rome; Bunkier Sztuki, Cracow; Kunsthalle Bratislava; GGM, Gdansk; CCA Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw; and “As You Can See: Polish Art Today”, MoMA in Warsaw. In 2014 she completed a residency at Gasworks, London.
Gizela Mickiewicz is resident at A.I.R. FUTURA from September untill November 2016 in collaboration with Visegrad Fund and Triangle NY.
